Stocks and bears

I'm glad that I wasn't born when these stocks were in use - all those nasty people pelting me with rotten tomatoes. Small Seal wouldn't have minded some little fishies being thrown at her though. She says she would've opened her mouth and gobbled them all up.

As you can see, being a small bear meant my paws couldn't stretch across both holes, so Small Seal joined me. Plenty of room for her small flippers.

Would you like to be put in stocks if you've been naughty?

Friendly piglets

I had such a lovely time visiting the piglets - I thought I'd try and get to know one of them, and offered them my paw to shake but he just sniffed it.

However, another one came along and whispered a secret into my furry ear. Can you guess what he said?

Bear and pigs

Crumbs! We've nearly come to the end of my holiday snaps. Hope you've enjoyed looking at them. There's still a couple to go, but I'm sure you'll agree it was an excellent adventure.

Have I told you that the Nutella melted? It was so hot that the jar of nutty chocolately goodness went everywhere - it took ages to wipe it off my fur. I'm nearly out of it too :(

Anyway, today I'm sharing my visit to see some piglets - all weany and pigletly. It was great fun watching them run around their sty.

I've not seen piglets before, and didn't realise that their tails are straight! I wonder when they go curly. Do you know?

Bear biscuits

Every good bear needs a holiday treat, so I was delighted when I found a packet of bear biscuits. Although I first thought they were made out of bears, but thankfully they were chocolately and very yummy! Here I am proudly clutching the packet.

I enjoyed them a lot when on our picnics.
Have you ever eaten bear biscuits? Or have you made any?
Let me know!

Bears and beers

Do you ever go bear spotting? Sometime in the future we'll play hide and seek together, but for now here's a bear pub I spotted on my travels. I was all excited as I saw the word 'bear' first, but was upset on seeing that it was the 'black bear inn'.
The name should be changed to 'naughty bear inn', don't you think?

Bear on the bridge

Hello again!
One of the best things about being on holiday is having time to paws for reflection. And that's just what I was doing sitting on this bridge.
After looking down to see my paws reflected in the water, I came to the conclusion that I'm not getting enough hibernation (only 23 hours a day at the moment) and not enough nutella.

Click on the comments button to say what you think about my adventures! I love hearing from you all.

Tomorrow, I might not post another holiday comment as England are playing football. Even I'll not be hibernating when that's on!

Sheepish friends

Baa! Here I am meeting some more of the locals, out having a munch on the grass. I had to clamber up this fence to have a good look, as they were far away.
There were loads of sheep all over the Cotswolds, but a lot of them ran away when they saw me. Not sure why - it's not as if I'm a very big bear after all.

I can't believe how many holiday photos I've got left to show you.
Keep checking my blog (wheresbear.co.uk) and keep telling your friends to come and visit me.

Football fever

Hello again!
You might be enjoying the World Cup at the moment: I am, and I'm looking out for bear related footie trivia, do you know any?

My holiday started on the same day that England played Jamaica, so I had to go and watch it somewhere. A nearby pub was showing the game - but what caught my beary eye was a poster advertising a recent game that I'd loved to have seen.

Moreton Wanderers v Bear FC would have been a fantastic fixture. Imagine, a whole team of bears growling their way to victory, and half-time snacks of nutella sandwiches. Yum!

Have you seen Bear FC play?

Happy bears

After the disappointment of not being able to join my new-found friend for tea and nutella, I wandered back through a market and found a honey stall. It was the bees' knees! I bought a jar of honey and the nice man let me be photographed with all his other wares. I was one happy bear!

Let me know the favourite parts of your holidays.

Meeting the local bears

One of the things I like doing on holidays is meeting the local residents. And I thought my luck was in when I met this cheery fellow in Stow on the Wold.

He seemed quite pleased to see me, and even invited me in to enjoy some nutella sandwiches washed down with some honeydew beer. But sadly, his owners had shut up shop for the holidays season, and I was left waiting on the doorstep.

That wasn't fun. But tomorrow, you'll see what cheered me up afterwards!
Tell all your friends to come and visit me at www.wheresbear.co.uk so they can enjoy my adventures too.

Cat chat

Hello again!

Here I am meeting one of the friendly locals, down on a farm.
She was a lovely cat, happy to have a chat.

I wondered if it might be a holiday romance, but she didn't chat for long - perhaps she didn't like my bear breath.

Do write and tell me about friends you have met on your holidays.

Holiday picnic

Hello everyone!
Hope you're enjoying seeing my holiday photos.
Here's a picture of me enjoying the British summer with a picnic.
Please note that while it looks rather healthy, I smothered my lettuce and tomatoes with lashings of runny honey. Yummy!

Small Seal came along too - but she wanted to guzzle a can of pilchards. So she did.

What do you like in your picnics?

Bear poem

Naughty bear is at a loss.
He is stuck on 10 across!

Bear's back!

Hello, I'm back! Did you miss me? I had a great time on my holidays. I went to a lovely spot in the centre of England called the Cotswolds. It was very sunny and very hot - far too hot for furry people like me and my nutella melted!

I had lots of fun and went on lots of adventures, but the first day I spent relaxing and catching up on some reading. It's not just polar bears that like to chill!

Keep checking my blog to find out what I got up to - and tell your friends to have a look too and maybe send me an email.

Bye for now. Keep growling!

Bear on vacation

I am so excited!
Like Nelly, I've packed my trunk.
Unlike Nelly, I'm not saying goodbye to the circus as I'm not in one.

My paws are quivering with excitement as I'm off on a holiday adventure!

I won't be making any posts for a week, but I'll be busy having fun and topping up my tan.
You'll see my pictures when I return. Unless I swap the camera for a jar of nutella

Be good. and if you can't be good, be a naughty bear.
