Post 201!

didn't notice that yesterday's entry was the 200th bear blog post! terribly exciting.
and there's more to come!while i was thinking i'd died and gone to bear heaven, surrounded by all those jars of nutella, small seal had been busy looking around to see what else there was. and she sneaked these into the shopping basket to surprise me when we got back - nutella in a bar!
these didn't last long when i got my paws on them. can't think why.

all i need to do now is to get both the huge jars of nutella and these duplo bars in english shops. mmm!

bear heaven

if only our supermarkets gave nutella as much love and care as this one did!
lots and lots of jars in different sizes all ready for bears to snuffle.
naturally, being a bear with impeccible taste, i went straight for the large jars.
didn't want to leave this section, but small seal had found something else to keep me happy.

oooh! milky!

everytime you go abroad, you find some strange cuisine that you've never heard of bearfore.
imagine my surprise, while skipping down to the nutella isle that the germans like bear milk!
it was very tempting to take some and try some, but i'd been saving my euros for a large jar of nutella.
still, couldn't resist a photo!

Belguim nutella

One of my many fans kindly sent me a tub of Weyns, a belguim nutella-like chocolate spread - but with honey in! yum, yum, yum! straight to my tum!

the bear went over the mountain

This was a scary moment: i nearly fell down a mountain!
here i was just admiring the view and looked down - my goodness, it was a long way down. and there were wild boars running around ready to chomp on naughty bears. oh my! the thought made me very giddy and i tumbled over the rail - almost to my doom.

but as you know, i'm still here to tell the tail, thankfully! my quick thinking nutella gatherer leaned over and saw that i was clinging to the edge of the cliff with my paws - but only just as i was declawed before we went to israel. male nutella gatherer leaned through the fence, and rescued me. my, my, my! that was a lucky escape.

the worst thing about all this was not falling off, but not having any nutella on hand to revive me. i was in shock for several hours, and some sweet chocolate/hazelnutty goodness would soon have brought me round again.

not my happiest adventure, but it's okay, i'm alright now!

Who goes bear?

here i am pretending to be a roman soldier!
if i had been a centurion, i would have stopped everyone and searched them for nutella - someone has to have them somewhere in israel.
small seal says if i was on guard duty and i heard someone coming at night i would shout 'who goes bear?' I'd rather just be grizzly at them instead.

Whine? No, wine!

All this siteseeing is quite wearisome, even for a small lovely bear like myself. So you can imagine my delight when we were taken to the Golan Heights Winery - and given some samples of their fizzy stuff. Sadly they didn't recommend any wines to go with nutella, but they do have a tasting room, which accommodates up to 60 people. at the end of the session, small seal assured me, it accommodates up to 120.

roman baths

do you remember the spa baths from the other day? well, here i am outside what would have been the roman version of the spa, just over the road from the modern spa complex in tibearias. there's not a lot of water in there now, thankfully, as i didn't fancy getting my fur wet again: just a bath once a year for bears! small seal was disapointed though, she was looking forward to flipping the water around with her flippers.
i wonder what the romans did for nutella?

Bear up a tree

It's been good to get out and about again - feeling the wind russle my fur and the cold draught on my nutella sandwiches. here i am doing one of my favourite things in the whole wide world ever. yes, i'm climbing a tree! yippee! it wasn't a big tree, i wanted to flex my tree climbing mussles before tackling a proper climb, but it was fun nonetheless.

Bear climbs Christmas tree

as you know, one of my favourite things is to climb trees - here's a shot of me clambering up a christmas tree to see what i can see. sadly i couldn't find any nutella hiding on the ground, but i did get to spot the bald patch of one of my nutella gatherers - he looks a little headbear. i thank you

Countdown to Christmas

Hello friends!
long time no blog and all that. it's been chaos lately and small seal and i have been keeping out of the way! we've starting to get excited now that christmas is nearly here. here's a picture of me inspecting the christmas lights last year in london; we've not had a chance to go this time as our nutella gatherers have been busy unpacking. haven't had a decent bear hug for ages :(

Water treat

One final post from the Malverns - i couldn't leave without sampling the water. this was despite the warnings that it wasn't necessarily fit for humans to drink. no mention of nutella-loving bears.

i hope you enjoyed my little adventures up the hill. it seems so long ago now, but i've been very busy indeed over the past week or so - my nutella gatherers are taking me to their new bear cave later this week. this means that i'll not be posting on my blog for a couple of weeks. but you can still look back on my old adventures if you get withdrawl symptoms.

small seal and i will let you know about some of our moving adventures later this week, so keep coming back and keep telling your friends to come and see us!

bearback rider

all this scampering about the malvern hills gave me tired paws. so i decided to hitch a lift. thankfully my nutella gatherers allowed me to ride bearback for a while. i had a bear nap and dreamt of more naughty adventures - like hiding...

Bear snacks

After an exciting slide down the hill, i could feel my furry stomach rumbling. and like any good bear, i know that's when i need to get my paws on some grub. i know the call of the wild!
sadly, my nutella gatherers had forgotten to get some nutella, but they let me scoff these bear-sized pringles. hmmmn... not as nice and chocolatey as my favourite spread.

Great for climbing

if there's one thing i like almost as much as scoffing nutella straight from the jar, it's climbing trees. and when the view is as spectacular as this one, it's worth it when you reach the top branch as you can see for miles and miles and miles. sadly i couldn't see any stray nutella jars anywhere and they didn't have any in our hotel at breakfast time :(

small seal stayed in the hotel room, as she didn't fancy climbing the malvern hills: she fancied saving her energy for when we went to the swimming baths. sadly, they didn't allow cameras in so you'll have to imagine her happily splashing down the waterslide. if anyone wants to draw the happy moment, then email me your pictures! naughty.bear at hotmail dot com.

Off on another adventure
