Greenbelt: Bear meets GP Taylor

it was a special moment for me this afternoon as i came paw to paw with the great writer gp taylor. he enjoyed giving me a bear hug and a bookmark for his new book, mariah mundi.
in return, i enjoyed showing him my wonderful blog, which he enjoyed very much indeed!

bear heaven

if only our supermarkets gave nutella as much love and care as this one did!
lots and lots of jars in different sizes all ready for bears to snuffle.
naturally, being a bear with impeccible taste, i went straight for the large jars.
didn't want to leave this section, but small seal had found something else to keep me happy.

yes, that's right friend! for the past two weeks my superior brain power (powered by nutella, of course) has meant that i've beaten loads of people to win the micromart magazine caption contest two issues in a row. i'm such a clever bear!

Belguim nutella

One of my many fans kindly sent me a tub of Weyns, a belguim nutella-like chocolate spread - but with honey in! yum, yum, yum! straight to my tum!

No bears on piers

What a bear faced cheek! Bournemouth don't want bears on their piers.
Thankfully, bears have paws, so i strolled along with small seal flipping away beside me.

hello again friends,
what a weekend it's been! there are times when being wrapped in fur is a bad thing indeed, like when it's all hot and sunny. but i mustn't grumble, as this weekend i went down to the seaside again! here i am relaxing on a deckchair while small seal went off for a paddle.
any ideas where we are this time?

well, my time in israel is nearly at an end :(
it's been a cracking adventure, and what better way of finishing than with a picture of me with some chicks!
Bright, soft feathers and very, very cute!
It's a good job that small seal doesn't get jealous.

fountain of delights

after wanting to share with you the excitement of the spa, i forgot that yesterday marked the 150th bearblog! can you believe that i've been on so many adventures?

here i am posing by a rather impressive fountain. i thought it was both impressive and a fountain, and worth posing in front of.

sadly, this was the last big adventure of israel as on the last day my nutella gatherers told me that i was being taken to tel aviv for a big trade show. which sounds really boring - but wait till you see what i got up to there!

in case of emergency, use the exit!

Hi friends!
As my boat trip was a little longer than a short boat trip would be, i decided to take a walk around the deck. is the correct term a poop around the deck?
just to bear on the safe side, i had a quick check for the emergency exit - and here i am posing next to it. if you go out of the frying pan, you'll go straight into the fire as it's just the side of the boat. small seal, who was still paddling alongside the boat, promised she'd catch me in her flippers if the worst came to the worst. i just didn't want to get my fur wet.

a calm adventure across the lake

After all the excitement and fuzzyheadednessness of my little scrape, small seal and i decided to take a trip across lake galilee. as small seal had been on dry land for a few days, she decided to swim alongside the boat what i got on - i didn't fancy getting my paws wet. so here i am making myself comfy and hoping that the sea isn't too rough. after all that wine, i don't fancy being sea sick

the bear went over the mountain

This was a scary moment: i nearly fell down a mountain!
here i was just admiring the view and looked down - my goodness, it was a long way down. and there were wild boars running around ready to chomp on naughty bears. oh my! the thought made me very giddy and i tumbled over the rail - almost to my doom.

but as you know, i'm still here to tell the tail, thankfully! my quick thinking nutella gatherer leaned over and saw that i was clinging to the edge of the cliff with my paws - but only just as i was declawed before we went to israel. male nutella gatherer leaned through the fence, and rescued me. my, my, my! that was a lucky escape.

the worst thing about all this was not falling off, but not having any nutella on hand to revive me. i was in shock for several hours, and some sweet chocolate/hazelnutty goodness would soon have brought me round again.

not my happiest adventure, but it's okay, i'm alright now!

Who goes bear?

here i am pretending to be a roman soldier!
if i had been a centurion, i would have stopped everyone and searched them for nutella - someone has to have them somewhere in israel.
small seal says if i was on guard duty and i heard someone coming at night i would shout 'who goes bear?' I'd rather just be grizzly at them instead.

Whine? No, wine!

All this siteseeing is quite wearisome, even for a small lovely bear like myself. So you can imagine my delight when we were taken to the Golan Heights Winery - and given some samples of their fizzy stuff. Sadly they didn't recommend any wines to go with nutella, but they do have a tasting room, which accommodates up to 60 people. at the end of the session, small seal assured me, it accommodates up to 120.

potty time!

here i am helping the nice people at the roman tibearias village. i'm helping them restore some old pots wot they have found. they make us stick the pieces together like a big jigsaw puzzle, hold them in place with masking tape and then glue it all together. i had to be very careful in case the glue stuck to my fur. that wouldn't have been very nice. if i'd tried to lick it off, my furry paws would then get stuck to my furry mouth - yuk!

ps - did you get any valentine's today? small seal liked the card i sent her, it had two bears on the front having fun in front of a fireplace. couldn't find any cards with bears and seals on. maybe next year?
